Columbus OH Expungement Attorney

Expungement law in Ohio has recently changed. One must now qualify as an “eligible offender” as opposed to a “first offender.” This change has opened the door for many people to qualify for expungements who were previously prohibited. The expungement statutes are rather confusing, however, and there remain many offenses that preclude expungement. Additionally, expungement is not a guarantee even if one is statutorily eligible; judges are required to conduct hearings and the State of Ohio has an opportunity to object to the granting of an expungement. Attorney Tome is well versed in expungement law and has successfully argued many contested expungement cases.
